The P.O.D #3: Liz Pollard from Bespoke Interiors

Lily Field

What is the P.O.D?

The P.O.D stands for 'People of DCTUK' in which we discuss an array of topics ranging from WHO our clients are, WHERE we fit our tiles and WHAT we do! DCTUK started P.O.D as a way to build a relationship with our customers and a way to show our future customers that we are more than just a flooring company! Every week we release an episode, and each week we will get to know one of our customers or even a rando on the street who is very keen to be on camera!

DCTUK take pride in our mission: To give the best customer experience through flooring, to deliver on style and budget, and bring a smile to your face.

Which is what we instill within all of our content on our socials, the P.O.D was made to allow people to develop an understanding of our ethos as a company and also get to know who we work with and THEIR story. Who doesn't want to listen to two people chatting about their passion?

How to: Balancing Uni, Work and Life!

Finding balance between work, university, and social life can seem like an insurmountable challenge, but it's important to remember that it's possible with the right mindset and tools.

The key is to prioritise and schedule your time effectively, ensuring that each area of your life gets the attention it deserves. Make a list of your priorities, set goals for each area of your life, and create a schedule that allows you to meet those goals without sacrificing your personal life.

Don't forget to also take care of yourself, both physically and mentally, by making time for exercise, self-care, and relaxation. Remember that balance is a journey, and it's okay to make adjustments along the way.

With dedication, determination, and a positive attitude, you can find balance between work, university, and social life, and achieve success in all areas of your life.

How can I stay motivated in work?

Staying motivated at work can be a challenge, especially during difficult or tedious tasks. Here are a few tips to help you stay motivated and engaged:

  1. Set clear goals: Having clear goals in mind will help you stay focused and give you a sense of purpose. Break down larger goals into smaller, achievable milestones to help you stay motivated and track your progress.

  2. Celebrate small wins: Recognise and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem. This will help you stay positive and motivated to tackle your next task.

  3. Take breaks: It's important to take regular breaks throughout the day to refresh your mind and prevent burnout. Use breaks to do something you enjoy, like taking a walk or chatting with a colleague.

  4. Seek feedback: Ask for feedback from your colleagues or manager to help you stay on track and improve your performance. This will also help you feel more invested in your work and motivated to do your best.

  5. Stay organised: A cluttered workspace can be distracting and overwhelming. Keep your workspace organized and tidy to help you stay focused and productive.

Remember, motivation can come and go, but it's important to stay committed to your goals and keep pushing yourself towards success.
