An Interview with Gerflor's Lewis Leadeatt!

Well, Gerflor has been manufacturing luxury vinyl tiles for over 35 years, they have 3 LVT manufacturing facilities across Europe with a production capacity totalling 20 million square metres per year!! The biggest facility, located in the south of France is the largest in Europe and has a capacity of 10 million square metres per year! 

Creation 55 looselay acoustic is Gerflor’s latest product innovation in the creation collection, a luxury vinyl tile range which first came onto the scene in 1990. 

Styled by Gerflor’s award winning design director Gino Venturelli and his team the range boasts 15 colours consisting of 10 wood planks and 5 stones/mineral tiles designs, all of which have PUR+ Matt surface treatment for a natural look and ease of cleaning. 

It's ideal for areas requiring sound reduction through the floor basically! So whether that be commercial customers wanting noise reduction for offices below or residential customers with loud children / or just anyone who wants a sound reduction floor!! 

Creation 55 looselay acoustic utilises the fastest installation method for large areas, it only needs tackifier to hold it in position and still can be removed easily at a later date for underfloor access or maintenance purposes; with the integration of its 19db impact sound reduction foam backing there is no need for underlay or adhesive, all this adds to saving time and money!

It’s a great product for renovation too, being 5.5mm thick it can be laid over existing tiled floors without the joints showing through, the product also butts up perfectly next to thicker flooring such as carpet for a seamless transition.

YES! Gerflor’s ongoing commitment to sustainability has been the driver behind the product being 100% recyclable and made up of 35% recycled content and like all of Gerflor’s products, the Creation 55 Looselay acoustic is manufactured using Phthalate-free technology.
