How to entertain your kids at home

Children across the UK will be off school for an indefinite period of time because of COVID-19. So to keep them from getting under your feet all day, we've put together a list of some fun and educational activities your child can do whilst at home with you!

Design a treasure hunt.

Hide an object like a coin somewhere in the house. Give your kids a clue, and let them run wild trying to find it. If you make it a bit tricky to find, you'll build up their resilience—and their ability to find things without begging for your help.

Get them gardening.

Tick off a chore without lifting a finger. And we're coming into Spring, perfect weather to be out in the garden! Gardening could be either tidying up or planting new flowers, plants, herbs or vegetables. If you grow herbs like basil, parsley or cress, they can eat them when they're grown.

Play educational games.

Get your kids excited about learning with this collection of teacher-designed educational games. With activities suited for nursery up to year 6, your kids will build foundational skills in everything from counting to reading comprehension, fractions to basic coding, and much more!

Get them active.

According to the NHS, Kids need to be active for 60 minutes a day. From their fun 10 Minute Shake Up games to information about active hobbies and sports, here's everything you need to get your family moving.
