Non directional or random lay is all the rage these days, maybe we're just getting lazy and can't be bothered following instructions anymore. Here it is again in this new collection by Interface.
Here we are with Interface Works Effect carpet tiles, the latest bad boy from Interface for the Works carpet tile collection. The designers must be pulling night shifts over there at Interface-land since we already have Works Geometry, Works Flow, Works Balance, Works Element and Works Sense.
This flooring collection features a random graffiti style that Interface describe as "scratch like textures". Well, we really like it!
The carpet tiles as usual are 50cm x 50cm in size, and you can choose from 9 engaging tones. What's an engaging tone? That's when you call someone, and you can't get through. LOL.
Interface are known for their green-fingered credentials and again this range is no exception since it includes recycled content and continues their programme of carbon neutral floors. Well done guys.
Now it's time to get bitchy. Gone are the bitumen-based backings which were reliance on fossil fuels and had a high carbon footprint, and here to stay are the new CQuest Bio backings. This tile features this new CQuest Bio backing which according to Interface means a much lower carbon footprint and an average of 88% total recycled and bio-based content. Not too sure what all that means but it sounds good.
Finally, one of the key USPs of this collection is its price. At the lower end of Interface's products, you can get a super savvy design, at a low price point. If you're piggy bank is looking a bit empty, this is the one for you.
