Spookify your home in style this Hallows Eve

Halloween home decor doesn't deserve to look cheap but it certainly doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg either. We've scoured the wonderful world of Pinterest ahead of this weekend's fright night festivities to come up with a few (witch)crafty tips to spookify your gaff in style. Here goes...

Pimp your pumpkin

If scooping out stinky pumpkin gunk and scraping seeds of your bread knife just isn't your style, you're going to love this year's trend tendency to give your seasonal delicacy a more modern makeover.

Get your hands on a can of shimmering spray paint, adorn with colourful gems or get really creative with some leftover emulsion for a mess-free take on the zig-zag mouthed, tea light-eyed tradition.

Invite Mother Nature to the party

If you've been dreading the last minute dash to the supermarket to get your hands on the dregs of whatever's left of the Halloween goodies then it's time to start thinking outside the box, buddy. In fact, it's time to start thinking outside full stop.

Autumn has a lot to offer when it comes to Halloween home decor so take a trip to your local park or even into your very own back garden and see what natural gems you can collect. You'll be surprised what you can do with a bundle of twigs and a couple of crispy leaves and we are all about biophilia these days after all.

Be a bit crafty about it

When you've had enough of foraging around your garden, or when the neighbours start giving you questionable glances, head inside and tackle that one bottomless drawer we all have that gets stuffed with various miscellaneous items as time goes by.

It's actually pretty impressive what you can conjure out of an old duster or those pipe cleaners you swore you'd start taking better care of your waterworks with last year. Even humble items such as tissues, cocktail sticks, rubber gloves and old t-shirts come in super handy at this time of year.
