The deccys have been up for weeks, Baileys before 12pm is getting more and more acceptable by the minute and the highstreets are a hustlin' and bustlin'. That means Christmas is just around the corner and the festive party season is in full swing and it was our turn on Friday night.
There have definitely been a few extra trips to the coffee counter at the office today after our Christmas night out on Friday so seeing as we couldn't have you all there with us, I thought I'd give you a little unique debrief of what went down.
Office parties are always a great way to get to know your perfectly polished colleagues better and here's what we found out after a delicious dinner at Browns Liverpool and a few sherbets at the popular Palm Sugar Lounge...
Our sales operation manager does a mean moonwalk
I mean, this guy shuffles around the office all day long but full of the festive spirit and the alcoholic kind of spirit, his moonwalk becomes a real marvel. Mixed with a bit of the robot and some unique freestyling of his own, we're just hoping James won't be leaving us to pursue a career in backing dancing anytime soon. Fingers crossed.
We really do dedicate ourselves to you lot
The table might have been booked for 5pm and the glad rags might have been on but some of us still stuck around HQ to make sure your last-minute orders made it in. Your ears might have been burning too as we discussed what we have in store for you in the new year over roast potatoes and chocolate tarts (no, not together - that would be weird).
Jagerbombs are definitely not Haribo.
If, like our MD Dean, you've never had the pleasure or knocking back a 'Jagerbomb' before then you might not know it's a deadly mixture of Red Bull and Jagermeister. We introduced Dean to this nightlife delicacy to which he exclaimed "Mm! Tastes like Haribo!" but Haribos definitely don't leave you hiding from sunlight the next day and wincing at so much as a whisper. Right, Dean?
Oh and finally - we're really, really, really bad at taking team photos...
On that note I'll leave you with a snap of some of the DCTUK family having a very merry Christmas time and celebrating what has been a bloomin' wonderful year. If we could have taken you along with us we would have because we couldn't do what we do without you but don't worry, we certainly raised a glass or two in your honour.
Cheers!
